Marlo Montoya was born in Pereira, Colombia, in 1986. Moving to Barcelona at the age of 10, he began attending an art therapy group. It is in art that he finds his dimension, the way to grow and discover his own identity. After graduating in 2005, he therefore enrolled in the drawing and painting course at the Barcelona Academy of Art. During his academic studies, he also approached the world of photography, pursuing a path of study and experimentation. Marlo's artistic investigation is a sort of archaeology of web images. In 2018, 1.31 trillion digital photographs were taken and ended up on internet servers. Search engines therefore become the artist's archaeological sites.
